There was a buzz that Katrina Kaif might be under consideration for the role opposite Hrithik Roshan, since she’s on very good terms with the film’s producer Karan Joharand has already done a film with Hrithik.
However, we hear Katrina Kaif’s inclusion in the project is highly unlikely on two grounds. Firstly, the film’s heroine is a desi girl and therefore the ultra-glam and mod Katrina with her Brit accent is a misfit. Secondly, reports say the actress didn’t get along too well with director Karan Malhotra while filming ‘Chikni Chameli’ for the runaway blockbuster Agneepath last year.
Though Karan Malhotra isn’t spilling any beans about the story or characters of Shuddhi, he does reveal that it will have a lot of action and drama.
“It is a complete high voltage film. It’s my kind of project, so there will be lot of action and drama in the film,” says Malhotra.
As for Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, they are already pairing up in director Siddharth Anand’s film Bang Bang in which they will reportedly also share a passionate kiss. Kat will shoot for the film in Kashmir later this month. ApunKaChoice will keep you updated.
