Hrithik Roshan ; born on 10 January 1974) is an Indian film actor.Having appeared as a child actor in several films throughout the 1980s, Roshan made his film debut in a leading role in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai in 2000. His performance in the film earned him Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and Best Male Debut. He followed it with leading roles in Fiza and Mission Kashmir (both released in 2000) and a supporting part in the blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... (2001).
Following through with several unnoticed performances from 2002 to 2003, he starred in the blockbusters Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) and its sequel Krrish (2006), both of which won him numerous Best Actor awards. Roshan received his third Filmfare Award for Best Actor in 2006 for his performance in the action film Dhoom 2, and his fourth for Jodhaa Akbar for which he was also awarded at the Golden Minbar International Film Festival. He later received further acclaim for his work in Guzaarish (2010), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) and Agneepath (2012), his biggest commercial success so far.

Hrithik Roshan started his film career with dad Rakesh Roshans Kaho Naa Pyar Hai, which turned out to be a megahit and got him several awards. Hrithik is known to be one of the best dancers in Bollywood and has starred in hits like Dhoom 2, Krrish and Jodha Akbar.

Hrithik Roshan began his career as child artist in the movie "Asha", where he appeared in a dance sequence. He also appeared as child artist in few other films like "Aap Ke Deewane" and "Bhagwan Dada", where his father was in lead role. Before coming to films as an actor Hrithik Roshan assisted his father in the production of films "Karan Arjun" and Koyala".
Hritik Roshan made his debut as lead hero in his home production film "Kaho Na Pyar Hai" opposite another debutante actress Amisha Patel. His performance earned him the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and Filmfare Best Actor Award. Next, Hrithik Roshan Starred in the critically acclaimed films "Fiza" and "Mission Kashmir" with mixed success at box office. Some of Ritik's films like "Mujhse Dosti Karoge", "Na Tum Jaano Na Hum" and "Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage" did poorly at box office and his career looked in doldrums. He made comeback with successful science fiction film "Koi Mil Gaya". The film was highest grosser of the year and also won many Filmfare Awards including the Filmfare Best Actor Award. After taking two year break from acting, Hrithik resurfaced with the superhero film "Krrish" and rocked the box office once again. It was followed by Dhoom 2, which was also a blockbuster.

Early career :-
Hrithik acted in his first movie when he was six years old in the 1980s film Aasha, where he appeared in a dance sequence as an extra. Roshan went on to play minor roles in Aap Ke Deewane (1980) and Bhagwan Dada (1986) both of which starred his father Rakesh Roshan in the leading role. He then became an assistant director and assisted in the production of his father's films Karan Arjun (1995) and Koyla (1997).
